DIY Paper Flowers

Hi everybody!

As promised, here's the DIY Paper Flowers project I finished up last week!

You can find the step-by-step instructions here

BTDubs...if you haven't spent hours at a time browsing through the slide shows on the DIY section of BHG.com, I don't know what you're doing with your days.

But I might need you to tell me, because it is literally all I do.

Anywho.  Here they are!

So, I bought 6 sheets of scrapbook paper at JoAnn.  I chose different patterns in green, pink, and blue, (2 of each color @ around $.50/sheet.)  And I bought 3, 5" x 5", square canvases which were around $4 each.

I already have a huge drawer full of acrylic paints at home, so I chose one that I thought would work well with the flowers, (and I have to say, it works, yeah?)

Now, the instructions on BHG say that the flowers take about 10 minutes...

It may have just been me, but this took me a couple of hours.  It was probably just me.

SO, I love these.  I can't wait to find a cute place for them in my imaginary new apartment.

{Incidentally, shout out to Capra and Ivy's mom, Ashley.  That's her wall where they were temporarily, (and without nails!) displayed while Ivy was napping.}

AND check back tomorrow for details on my VERY FIRST, (I'm really excited about this...)

Which may or may not have something to do with three more of these little guys.

Until then, I hope all of my friends in Northeast Florida are enjoying the subtle yellow glow outside caused by the nearby forest fires.

Enjoy the rest of your day!
